Visitation for Rosemary Kniola is Friday

Rosemary Kniola, 86, of Michigan City, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 3:50 p.m. at The Arbors.

She was born January 8, 1925 in Canton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Mary Lucetta (Newell) Nicodemus.

On September 12, 1942 in Michigan City she married Joseph Kniola who passed away on March 26, 2002.

Rosemary is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Robert) Wagner and Mary Lou (Rick) Wykoff both of Michigan City; one son, Ronald Kniola of Westville, Ind.; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and one brother, Raymond (Lorraine) Nicodemus of Lady Lake, Florida, as well as special friends Gayle McConaughy, Jan Kniola and Betty French.

Preceding her in death were two sons, Robert Kniola and Joseph Kniola Jr., and two daughters, Jo Ann Ferguson and Carol Kniola.

Rosemary worked along with her husband at Kniola's Meat Market in Michigan City.

She was a member of Queen of All Saints Church and loved watching the birds and crocheting.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of All Saints Church.

Private family burial will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.

Viewing will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Root Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:15 - 10:00 a.m. at Queen of All Saints Church.

Memorials may be made to Share Foundation for the Handicapped.
