Steven J. Klumpe, age 55 of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011.

He was born December 13, 1955 in Hammond, Ind., to Joseph and Dorothy (Mell) Klumpe, who survive in Chesterton.

Steve is also survived by his loving and caring ex-wife, Jeanine Charlson Klumpe of Portage, his children Stacie Sullivan, Tracie (Emil) Beeg, Anna (Ken) Marquardt, all of Valparaiso and Steven Klumpe of Rolling Prairie; his grandchildren Katherine, Ryan, Kayla, Reagan, Emilia and Harrison. Steve is also survived by his sister Jay (late Jeff) Bechinski of Chesterton and his brothers Mike (Barb) Klumpe and John (Amber) Klumpe, both of Valparaiso and many nieces and nephews.

Steve was a millwright at I/N Kote steel mill. He was a member of the American Legion. His favorite hobbies were golfing and camping, he loved being outdoors.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton at 7:00 p.m.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until time of services.
