Olive Belle Kilander, age 93, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the
Waters of Duneland.
She was born on
March 17, 1918 in Francesville, Ind., to Charles and Elizabeth (Irven)
Rhinehart, both of whom preceded her in death.
In Francesville,
on February 12, 1937, she married Melvin J. Kilander, who also preceded her
in death.
She is survived
by her son David (Jane) Kilander of Jackson Township, daughter-in-law Linda
Kilander of Chesterton, grandchildren Deborah (Greg) Moss of Jackson
Township; Ginny (William Hopkins) Kilander of Laramie, Wyo.; Aaron (Ericka)
Kilander of Jackson Township and Skott (Jennifer) Kilander of Harrisburg,
Penn.
Also,
great-grandchildren Taylor, Zachary and Caden Mockler, Madison and Connor
Kilander, step great-grandchildren Madelyn and Drake Moss and siblings Donna
Weltzin of Wisconsin, Alma (Robert) Hubeny of Kewanna, Ind. and brother Jim
Rhinehart of Ohio.
Olive was also
preceded in death by a son, Larry L. Kilander, three brothers and four
sisters.
She was a member
of the First United Methodist Church of Chesterton. She had worked at the L
& M Shoe Store and Diness Jewelers in Chesterton.
The family will
receive friends on Thursday, June 30, from 4 until 8 at the White-Love
Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton Indiana.
The funeral
service will be held on Friday, June 31, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Cathy
Allison Officiating. Burial will be at Francesville Cemetery.
