Paul Kurtos of Porter passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at his home. He was 74.

He was born Feb. 26, 1937 in Gary to Joseph and Olga (Procki) Kurtos, both of whom preceded him in death. On March 10, 1962 in Indiana, he married Wilma Mitchell Kurtos, who preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 2008.

Paul is survived by his daughters Linda Kurtos of Chicago and Lori (husband Terence) Callaway of Chicago; twin sister Louise (Cyril) Roseman of Ramona, Calif. and nephew Jeff Wildermuth of Westville.

Paul was a carpenter and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 1054, Chicago Local 1005, a Northwest Indiana 50 year member and an army veteran.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 6 at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton with Pastor Lorrayne Rizer officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 5. For more information, call 926-1309.
