Service set for Nannie Frances Severs

“Nannie” Frances Severs of Chesterton passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her home. She was 63.

She was born March 14, 1948 in Murfreesboro, N.C. to William and Mary (Brown) Vinson, who preceded her in death.

Nannie was married on May 14, 1979 in Elizabeth City, N.C. to Kenneth D. Severs, who survives of Chesterton.

Also surviving are daughters Michelle (husband Michael) Hollandsworth of Chesterton and Terri (James) Nixon of Pine Township; brothers, Ed (wife Annette) Vinson of Moyock, N.C., Bill Vinson of North Carolina and Rusty (Kathy) Vinson of Norfolk, Va.; sister, Jane (Mike) Brophy of Norfolk, Va.; grandchildren, Christian Lee and Samuel Lee; mothers-in-law Nancy Lawrence of Valparaiso and Arloa Severs of Michigan City; and close friend, Leslye Kreighbaum of Michigan City.

Nannie was an area resident since 1979, coming from Norfolk, Va.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 11 a.m. at Chesterton Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Carroll officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
