Service set for Lowell Susdorf

Lowell W. Susdorf of Chesterton passed away on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 at Porter Hospital Valparaiso Campus. He was 63.

Lowell was born on Dec. 24, 1947 to Wade Susdorf and Evelyn Foreman-Susdorf, both of whom preceded him in death. On June 29, 1968 he married Jo Lynn David-Susdorf, who survives in Chesterton.

He is also survived by children Thomas (wife Kerstin) Susdorf of Granger, Ind. and Steven Susdorf of Indianapolis; and granddaughter, Christina Susdorf of Granger.

His sister, Judith Herzog, also preceded him in death.

Lowell was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Monon Railroad Historical Society, the IHSAA and the Duneland Model Railroad Club.

The funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chesterton with Pastor Erich Fickel officiating. Burial will be at McCool Cemetery, Portage. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
