Joan M. Kutch (nee Krycka) of Valparaiso, age 75, passed away at her home on
Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011. She was 75.
Born on Dec. 4, 1935 in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Ben and
Helen (nee Bolcerek) Krycka.
She is survived by husband, Gerald J. Kutch of Valparaiso; son Michael (wife
Debbie) Dohner of Valparaiso; daughter Debra A. (Rick) Kuder of Liberty
Township; granddaughter Elizabeth Kuder of Valparaiso; step-children, Pam
Dolson of Hawaii and Chris (Georgia) Kutch of Riverside, Calif.;
step-grandchildren, Dawn Roberts of Hobart and Nicole Sierra of New York;
brother Jerry (Connie) Krycka of Las Vegas, Nev.; and sister Barbara Johnsen
of Las Vegas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Thomas Dohner
and step-son Gregory Kutch.
She was a Valparaiso resident for 29 years, formerly of New Buffalo, Mich.
She was a 1953 graduate of New Buffalo High School, a homemaker, and former
owner of Country Septic Tank, Country Body Shop, and Country Corner Farm
Market on U.S. 6 and Meridian Road in Liberty Township.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from the Dykes
Funeral Home, 2305 N. Campbell St., Valparaiso, for an 11 a.m. funeral mass
at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso, with Rev.
Joseph Pawlowski, officiating. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memorial
Gardens, Michigan City. Friends may call at the Dykes Funeral Home on
Monday, Jan. 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. wake service. Arrangements
are being handled by Dykes Funeral Home, Inc. 462-3125.
