Elizabeth Pearson of Chesterton passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 in
Valparaiso. She was 86.
She was born November 16, 1924 in Potsdam, N.Y. to Floyd and Eva (Maier)
Dame, who preceded her in death.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Keith (wife Diane) Pearson of Portage;
daughters Barb (husband Dennis) Whisler of Chesterton and Debbie (Lee)
Schoonover of New Lenox, Ill.; daughter-in-law, Lisa Pearson of Chesterton;
brother, Floyd (Jo) Dame of Sackets Harbor, N.Y.; six grandchildren; one
step-grandchild; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Edwin and Terry Pearson.
Elizabeth was an area resident since 1960. She was a member of St. Patrick
Catholic Church and worked in circulation at the Westchester Public Library
for eight years.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16 from 4 p.m. until the time of
service at 7 p.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway,
Chesterton. Funeral services will also be held in Potsdam, N.Y. with burial
at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam. Online condolences may be left for the
