Service set for Chester Tymorek

Chester A. Tymorek of Lansing, Ill., passed away on Saturday, March 19. He was 83.

He is survived by his children Collette (husband Adam) Galvan Jr., Thomas (wife Christine) Tymorek of Chesterton, Cathy Lott, Michelle (Mike) Winters, Andrea (Richard) Long, Mary (Greg) Bare and Joseph Tymorek; 14 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; parents Julia (nee Bernet) and Joseph Szczepankowski; brothers Leonard and Bernard; and grandson Richard C. Long.

Mr. Tymorek proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a sergeant and was a retired electrician from the Wisconsin Steel Mill.

Visitation is today from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 22 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and proceed to St. Ann Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Road, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City.
