Richard F. Landis, age 51, of Michigan City, Ind., passed away on Monday,
September 5, 2011 in Goshen, Ind.
He was born August 18, 1960 in South Bend, Ind., to Richard Jr. and Patricia
(Ciesiolka) Landis.
Richard dedicated his life to the people of Beverly Shores for 30 years as
their Town Marshall.
He is survived by his dog, Shelby; mother, Patricia (Brence) Jackson of
Michigan City; sister and caregiver Diane Landis; sister Debra (Jim) Fogus;
nieces and nephews Jimmie, Jeffrey, Sandra, Shannan, Sarah, Stacie, Stefanee,
Kylie, Adam, Christian, Alexander and Samantha and 15 great-nieces and
great-nephews, with one more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Landis Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, with visitation
from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City.
Visitation will also be held on Friday, September 9 from 2:00 p.m. until
8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
