Radford John Hayden of Eastpointe, Mich. passed away on Monday, Feb. 7, 2011
after a brief illness. He was 55.
Rad is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Delia, and son Peter of
Eastpointe, Mich.; mother Joan Hayden of Chesterton; sister Therese and
three nieces, all of Chesterton; and brothers Tom and Marty of Houston,
Texas, Fritz of Westmont, Ill., and Clare of New Lenox, Ill.; and 23 nieces
and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Rad dedicated his life to medicine, working tirelessly as an orthopedic
Physicians Assistant for 30 years. He was a past president of the Michigan
Association of Physician Assistants (MAPA). He served on the American
Academy of Physicians Assistants, and he was a member of the American
Society of Surgery of the Hand. Rad was also an Affiliated Associate
Professor at U of D Mercy College.
Services were held in Michigan.
