Kathleen M. Bentley, age 63 of Jackson Township, passed away on September 24, 2011 at her home.

She was born on May 21, 1948 in Hammond, Ind.

Kathleen is survived by her children Karen J. Glanzer, of Springfield Virginia; Heather L. Fijut of Westville, Ind. and Scott Fijut of Munster, Ind.

Also surviving are her siblings Sharron Lahr and James Danaher, both of Calumet City, Ill.

Kathleen was an executive secretary for the National Parent Teachers Association in Chicago for 20 years. She was also a loving mother.

There will be a private family visitation and funeral service will be held Thursday at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. The burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
