Marjorie Lauraine Felts (nee Yaborek), age 83 of Valparaiso, formerly of Gary (Tolleston area), passed away November 18, 2011.

Marjorie was a graduate of Tolleston High School, Class of 1946. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso and the United Presbyterian Women’s Association. She was a former operator for Indiana Bell and a former employee of the Northern Indiana Bank (Gainer Bank) in Valparaiso and a member of the P.E.O., Chapter BO.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Donald Eugene Felts and her son, Scott Alan Felts. She is survived by three children; Ken (Nadine) Felts of Valparaiso, Todd (Angie) Felts of Parker, Colo. and Laurie (Fred) Rowden of Valparaiso; two grandchildren, Christopher and Anthony and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 3401 N. Valparaiso Street, Valparaiso Ind., with Rev. Wayne Rhodes officiating.

Cremation will precede the memorial services. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
