Chesterton resident Lawrence J. Pasek passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011. He was 70.

He was born June 23, 1940 in Chicago. He was married to Theresa (Menendez) Pasek, who survives of Chesterton.

Also surviving are his mother, Herta Pasek of Tinley Park, Ill.; nephews Tom Pasek and Steven Pasek; niece Jenney Pasek; and sister-in-law Patricia Menendez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Sheridan, and brothers Tom and Bill Pasek.

Lawrence was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the VFW Post 94 in Valparaiso. He and his wife owned and operated Duneland Garage Door Company in Chesterton.

Cremation will take place at Heritage Crematory, Portage. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are being handled by the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway. www.EE-FH.com
