Judith A. Plescher of Chesterton went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan.
14, 2011 after an extended illness. She was 56.
“The Queen,” as she was known to family and friends, will be fondly
remembered for her love of family, her fighting spirit and her take no
prisoners approach to life.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, James K. Plescher of Chesterton;
son James K. Plescher II “Chip” (wife Nicole) and her first grandson James
K. Plescher III “Trey,” all of Raleigh, N.C.; her mother Phyllis A.
Broadwater of Anderson, Ind.; father-in-law James H. Plescher and
brother-in-law Raymond B. Plescher, both of Sebring, Fla.; sisters Edie
Heifner and Janie McCoy-Heiny and a brother John H. Broadwater, all of
Anderson, Ind.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Broadwater, of Anderson in
2004 and her mother-in-law, Janet H. Plescher, of Sebring, Fla. in 1994.
The family will meet with friends on Monday, Jan. 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at
Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Cremation will take
place at Heritage Crematory, Portage. A memorial service with the family
will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Judith’s name to the
