Jenna M. O’-Reilly, age 20, of Chesterton passed away on Monday, Au-gust 8, 2011.

She was born Jan. 30, 1991 in Valparaiso.

Jenna is survived by her father, Timothy O’Reilly of Burns Harbor; mother, Verna O’Reilly of Chesterton; brothers, Aaron O’Reilly of Valparaiso, Richie O’Reilly of Valparaiso and baby brother, Evan Hallett of Chesterton; maternal grandparents, Robert C. and Lena Alvarez of Burns Harbor; paternal grandparents, Richard and Delores O’Reilly of Burns Harbor; great-grandfather, Manuel G. Alvarez of St. Petersburg, Fla.; best friend, Lora McMeans of Chesterton; friend, Matt Wallace of Chesterton; childhood best friend, Melanie Cunningham of Portage; cats, Rascal and Mosey; dog, Lucy; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her uncle, Joseph R. Alvarez; great-grandmothers, Josephine Alvarez, Frances Reedy and Anna Benjamin; and great-grandparents, John and Pearl Arvin.

Jenna graduated from Victory Christian Academy, where she fondly remembered her favorite teacher Mrs. Jordan. She played basketball for Victory and for Portage Youth. Jenna was studying Sociology at Purdue North Central, where she was on the Dean’s List with straight A’s. She was working at Hopkins Ace Hardware in Chesterton. She loved going on drives to the beach with her best friend, Lora. Jenna loved everybody and never had an unkind word for anyone. She will be deeply and truly missed by all who loved her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind.

Funeral Services for Jenna will be held on Thursday, August 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Valparaiso Mennonite Church, 1305 Silhavy Rd., Valparaiso, Ind. with Pastor Mario Bustos officiating.

Entombment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Ind.
