Cynthia L. “Cindy” Jackson, age 56, of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday,
December 14, 2011 at her home.
She was born April 5, 1955 in New Eagle, Pennsylvania, to Eugene and Cecelia
(Zilka) Weibl.
Cindy graduated from Chesterton High School in 1973, received her BA in
Liberal Studies from Purdue University and her MSW from Western Michigan
University. She was a Social Worker with the VNA of Porter County, having
worked at Whispering Pines and The Willows prior to joining the VNA five
years ago.
Survivors include her parents, Eugene and Cecelia Weibl of Liberty Township;
two sisters, Marcia (Carl) Higgins and Karen Land both of Valparaiso; one
brother, Eugene (Kelly) Weibl, Jr. of Burns Harbor; seven nieces and
nephews, and her guardian angel, Carla (Gary) Dost.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 1:00 to
3:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, followed
by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Craig Forwalter
officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to VNA Hospice of
Porter County.
