Frances Mary Brown, age 96 of Chesterton, passed away on Wednesday, November
2, 2011 at Whispering Pines of Valparaiso, Indiana.
She was born on
November 12, 1914 to Bernard and Mary Frances Stahovak-Yagelski, both of
whom preceded her in death.
She is survived
by her daughter Mary Anne (Jeff) Jordan of Cary, North Carolina, two
granddaughters: Stephanie Elizabeth (Tom) Hamberis, of Winston Salem, N.C.
and Caroline Alexandra (Grant) Smith, of Amhurst, New Hampshire and three
great-grandchildren: Jackson Jeffrey Hamberis, of Winston Salem, N.C. and
Stratton Jordan Smith and Alexandra Elizabeth Smith, both of Amhurst, N.H.
She was a member
of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a former member of the Rosary Society,
enjoyed gardening, playing cards and her many friends
She took great
pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be dearly
missed.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St.
Patrick Catholic Church, 628 N. Calumet Rd, Chesterton with Father James
Meade officiating. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
The family will
receive friends on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the White-Love
Funeral Home 525 S. 2nd Street, Chesterton.
There will be a
prayer service Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be
given to the American Cancer Society.
