Eleanor Pearl Linderman, age 83 of Chesterton, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 in Portage, Indiana.

She was born October 15, 1928 in Chesterton, to Clarence Dan Wise and Irene Gertrude (Henderson) Wise, both of whom preceded her in death.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Janet Linderman, of Chesterton, and two dear and caring friends, Dale and Karen Pflughaupt of Chesterton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Linderman; brother, Dewayne Wise and sister, Ruth Roberts.

Eleanor was a lifelong area resident and 1947 graduate of Chesterton High School.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 847 and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 170.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, with Mr. Randy DePriest officiating. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
