Donna Lynn Havner, age 49 of Porter, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Regency Hospital, Portage. Donna was born on April 27, 1962 in LaPorte, Indiana to James and Janet Day- Diederich, both of whom survive in LaPorte.

On August 17, 1985, at St. John’s Church in Chesterton, she married Roy Dale Havner, who survives in Porter.

Also surviving are her children Jacob Dale (Leslie) Havner of Chesterton and Aryn Renee Havner of Porter, Godmother Deb Defrew of South Bend, brother Terry (Janet) Diederich of Goshen and father and mother-in law Jack and Shirley Havner, of Chesterton.

Donna was a very crafty individual who loved scrapbooking and going to craft shows. She graduated from LaPorte High School and attended PNC and worked at Chesterton Middle School as a secretary.

She was eco-friendly, loved to try new foods and was an organizational freak. She also enjoyed counter cross stitching and volunteering, helping others out in any way she could.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton.

The funeral service will be on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend George Cairns officiating. The burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
