Delton E. Martin, “Gene”, age 77, died November 2, 2011, at St. Joseph
Medical Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He was born Dec. 11, 1933, in Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Hopie (Tallant) Martin.
He is survived by daughters Bobbie (husband Robert) Emerick, of Chesterton
and Cathy (Jerry) Cox and Pamela (late husband Tommy), both of Murfreesboro,
Ark. and his son Terry (Kimberly) of Valparaiso, Ind.
He is also survived by his brother Jahue of Arkansas, sisters Virginia,
Julia Mae and Dorothy, all of Texas; grandchildren Chrystal, Karlie,
Darrell, Cassie, Joni and Rick; 13 great-grand children and one great-great
grandson, with one on the way.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Emerick, one brother,
two sisters and his parents, Robert and Dora (Young) Martin.
Arrangements are being handled by Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro,
Arkansas.
