Debra Lynn Kish, age 55 of Chesterton, passed away Friday,
July 1, 2011 in Valparaiso, Ind.
She was born November 19, 1955 in Buffalo, New York.
She was married on December 15, 1973 in Tonawanda, New York
to William Kish, who survives in Chesterton.
Debra is also survived by her mother Marilyn (Albert)
Ainslie; son Thomas Kish of Valparaiso and daughter Jenelle Kish of Portage.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Aidan and Kearra
Kaufman, who she was raising, and Edelsia and Zakareyha; brothers, David
(Noreen) Murawski of Ariz. and Erick (Renee) Murawski of Burns Harbor and
many aunts and uncles, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many good
friends.
Debra was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church. She was a
graduate of Kenmore West High School in Kenmore, New York.
She enjoyed bowling and was active in sports with her
children. She was also a Girl Scout helper.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 4:00
to 8:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at
10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Erik Bernth officiating. Cremation
will take place at Heritage Crematory, Portage.
The family asks that memorials be made to the family to help
provide for the future of the grandchildren Debra was raising.
