Cynthia Lee Vale dies at age 54

Cynthia “Cindy” “Ninny” Lee Vale age 54, of Portage, Ind. passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at home.

She was born on January 23, 1957 in Valparaiso, to Cecil and Laura (Chael) Sherrick. She was a homemaker and adored children. Cindy will deeply be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Vale of Portage; daughter, Elizabeth Vale of Portage; son, Christopher Vale of Portage; brothers, Charles (Debbie) Sherrick of Cresthill, Ill., Carroll “Robbie” (Sherrie Anne) Sherrick of Claremore, Okla., Clifton John (Sharon) Sherrick of Chesterton; sister, Camella “Cammie” Moser of Valparaiso; sister-in-law, Kathleen Sherrick; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many, many good friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by infant sons, Phillip Edwin, Stephen Matthew and Zachary Thomas; she was also preceded by her parents, grandparents and brother, Cecil “Bim” Sherrick and father-in-law, Sheridan Vale; mother-in-laws, Helen Vale and Margaret Vale.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 14, at 7 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave, Portage.

A memorial visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cremation will take place at Heritage Crematory, Portage. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
