Barbara Alice Hathaway of Chesterton passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 in
Michigan City. She was 78.
She was born Oct. 19, 1932 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. to William and Cora
(Holmes) Callahan, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 14, 1995 in Las Vegas,
Nev., she married Paul Hathaway, who preceded her in death in 2006.
Barbara is survived by her sons Robert (wife Cathy) Wilson of Antioch, Ill.,
Michael (Nancy) Wilson of Chesterton, Joseph (Kris) Wilson of Chesterton,
and John (Janet) Wilson of Cape Coral, Fla.; sister Corinne Callahan; and
several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara was an area resident since 1952, coming from New York. She was a
member of the Women of the Moose Chesterton Lodge Chapter #846.
Private family services will be held at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517
Broadway, Chesterton. Cremation will be performed by Heritage Crematory,
Portage. Memorials may be made to the Porter County Cancer Society, 2502
