Chesterton resident Margurite Estelle Dellinger, 86, died Thursday, Oct. 28,
2010 in Valparaiso.
She was born on March 3, 1924, in Goldsboro, N.C., the daughter of Robert
Lambert and Mary Williford-Lambert, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, George L. Dellinger; her daughters Debra
(Edward) Nespo and Pamela (Keith) Roberts, both of Jackson Township;
grandchildren Melissa (Greg) Fuller of Chesterton, Tanya (Mark) Dean of
Winder, Ga., and Stephanie (Ben) Bryant of Porter; great-grandchildren
Taylor Dean, Logan and Gaige Creekbaum, Ben Fuller, and Carsen Bryant; and
her sister, Rachel Powell of Goldsboro, N.C.
She is preceded in death by sisters Hazel Kennedy and Bessie Stafford; and
by her brother, Ray Lambert.
Margurite was a member of St. Patrick Church and the Chesterton Moose Lodge.
She was a buyer of children’s clothes in M.W. in Baltimore, Md., prior to
being transferred to Chesterton in 1965. She began her career with Duneland
School System as a lunch lady and retired as food service director after 28

Funeral services, Father James McGrogan officiating, are scheduled for 11
a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. Second St. in
Chesterton. The burial will be at Angelcrest Cemetery in Valparaiso.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at
White-Love Funeral Home.
