Sharon L. Marlatt of Chesterton passed away Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 at the VNA Horton Hospice Center in Valparaiso. She was 67.

Born on April 25, 1943 in Gary, she was the daughter of Francis and Nadine (Coin) Krieter, both of whom preceded her in death.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Dean Marlatt of Chesterton; daughters Tammy Rizer (husband Larry) of Chesterton and Theresa “Terry” Jolley (Larry) of Hobart, grandchildren Stephanie Menard (Robert) of Valparaiso, Michael and Rebecca Rizer of Chesterton; brothers Thomas Krieter of Colorado and David Krieter (Sandy) of Florida; sister Janet Stutesman (Bob) of Valparaiso; and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was a wonderful grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. from the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Burial will be in Chesterton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 17 from 2 to 6 p.m. atthe White-Love Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the V.N.A. Horton Hospice in memory of Sharon.
