Service set for Rosalie W. Moroco

Portage resident Rosalie W. Moroco passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 in Valparaiso, IN. She was 82.

Born May 10, 1927 in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area, she was the daughter of Andrew and Walteretta (Olkiewicg) Kusmierek, who preceded her in death. After moving to the Portage area, she married Michael Moroco, who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son Lanier Chiesi (wife Tia) of Chesterton; sister Betty (Kraut) Schwirian of Greensburg, Pa.; and grandchildren Lanier A. Chiesi (Denyse Leady), Camron Chiesi, Christopher Chiesi (Sarah Craig) and Kimberly Balsch (David); great grandchildren Ava Marie Chiesi and Ashton, Malory and Lela Balch.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son David Chiesi, four brothers and five sisters.

Rosalie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was an area resident since 1961, coming from Pennsylvania, and formerly worked for the Interstate Host Toll Road and the Georgia Pacific Papermill.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, with Father Andrew Corona officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. www.EE-FH.com
