Renee M. Boothe of Porter died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 in Porter Hospital Valparaiso Campus. She was 51.

She was born Nov. 4, 1958 in Waukegan, Ill. She is survived by children Angie Smearing of Scottsdale, Ariz., Justin Boothe (wife Angela Barack) of Lafayette, and Sean Virden of Chesterton; grandaughter Aliya; mother Kaye Dufern of Skokie, Ill.,; sisters Lisa Fink (husband Steven) of Skokie and Andrea M. Dolan of Lake Bluff, Ill.; and niece and nephew Jennifer and James.

She was preceded in death by her father, James W. Mears III and by brothers Vincent and Stephen.

Renee was a self-employed house painter and was a waitress at Peggy Sue’s Restaurant in Chesterton for many years. She was a beautiful person with a big heart. Her love and laughter will be missed.

There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at North Shore Garden of Memories, 1801 Greenbay Road North, Chicago, Ill., 60664.
