Joshua Scott Freeland of Chesterton passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010 at his home. He was 25.

He was born February 7, 1985 in Munster. He is survived by his father, Scott (wife Trina) Freeland of Clinton, Ind.; mother, Alicia Zamarron of Chesterton; maternal grandmother, Beatrice Zamarron of Chesterton; brothers, Scott B. (Christina) Freeland Jr. of Roda, Spain, Salvador Zermeno of Chesterton, Boyd S. Freeland of Clinton, Joel S. Freeland of Clinton, and Jason S. Freeland of Palmer, Alaska; sisters, Veronica Gonzalez of Gary, Stephanie Gonzalez of South Bend and Marion C. Freeland of Valparaiso; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joshua was a lifelong area resident and a 2004 graduate of Chesterton High School.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 23 at 11 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. www.EE-FH.com
