Chesterton resident Grace L. Hall passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Waters of Duneland. She was 94.

Born on January 17, 1916 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Theodore and Sadie Dutcher, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter Carolyn (husband Roy) Beatson of New Carlisle; son Delbert (wife Susan) Hall of Chesterton; grandchildren Kristen, Joanna, Scott, Michael and Amanda; and great-grandchildren Riley and Hannah.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1980, daughter Judy in 2002, brothers Edward and John and sister, Charlotte.

A 1930 graduate of Chesterton High School, Grace worked on the election board for 50 years and attended Liberty Bible Church for more than 60 years. She was a member of the Women’s Christian Club and a Keen Ager. She also delivered Meals on Wheels and enjoyed crocheting.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 9 at 11 a.m. from the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. Second Street, Chesterton. The burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Meals on Wheels or the VNA Hospice program of Porter County.
