Roger Edward Wolff formerly of Graham Woods, Chesterton passed away in the
company of his family on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 in Duluth, Ga. He was 88.
He was born in Chicago, the son of the late Albert S. Wolff and Marie L.
(Ritter) Wolff. He graduated from Wright Jr. College with an Associate
Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1942. He was a Tec-3 Communications
Section Chief in the Army in World War II. He later completed a BSEE in
Power and Communications from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1949.
Roger was a former Mason and served as the Chairman of the Graham Woods
Conservancy for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty J. Wolff of Duluth; sons Karl
A. Wolff of Duluth and F. James Wolff of Dyer; daughter Cheryl Smith of
Duluth; granddaughter Amber; two great-grandchildren; and sister Joyce
Udolph of Ashland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by grandson Gavin.
Inurnment with Military Honors will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in
Canton, Ga. on Monday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made in his memory to United Hospice or the National Heart Association.
