Mary Ann Youngren of Salem, Ore., formerly of Valparaiso, passed away
Saturday, June 5, 2010 in Valparaiso. She was 67.
She was born on December 7, 1942 in Valparaiso to Eric and Ruth (Baker)
Youngren. She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother, Ruth, of Valparaiso; and brother Eric (wife
Peggy) Youngren of Porter.
Mary Ann was a professor at Willamette University in Salem with her
doctorate in psychology. She loved to travel, cook and tend to her garden.
She was also a 1960 Valparaiso High School graduate. She will be deeply
missed by many friends in Oregon.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Oregon. Memorials may be
made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are being handled by
the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton. For more
