Former Duneland area resident James T. Glassford died on June 27, 2010, at
his home in Spring Hill, Tenn., surrounded by his loving family. He was 80.
Born on December 31, 1929, in Crown Point, he was the third oldest of 14
children. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War, built homes
in Crown Point with Glassford-Barr Construction, and served in full-time
public ministry for more than 35 years.
Rev. Glassford is survived by his wife, Marjorie A. (Marvel) Glassford; sons
Greg (wife Sandy) and Brian (Lesley); daughters, Debbie Fischer and Brenda
(husband Rick) Bruce; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 12 at 2:30 p.m. in
Chesterton at Liberty Bible Church. A graveside service will be conducted at
Westville Cemetery following the memorial service.
