Chesterton resident Kenneth Gerard Serafin passed away on Tuesday, August
31, 2010 at his home. He was 49.
Born on August
26, 1961 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Roy Serafin and Maureen
(Dixon) Serafin, who survives in Chesterton.
Also surviving
are brothers David Serafin of Indianapolis and Brian Serafin (wife Beth) of
Valparaiso; sister-in-law Sherri Serafin; and nieces and nephews Amy Joy
Winkoff, Alyssa Serafin, D.J. Serafin, Aileen Serafin, Thomas Serafin, Roy
Serafin and Heather Serafin.
Ken was the
manager at the T.A. Travel Center for 15 years and was a 1979 Chesterton
High School graduate. He loved spending time with his family, watching
classic movies and especially westerns, listening to music and playing
darts.
A memorial mass
will be on Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N.
Calumet, Chesterton with Father James Meade officiating. There will be no
visitation. Memorials may be given to Ken’s family in his memory.
