Helen Elizabeth Manning, age 88, of Naples, Florida and formerly of Liberty Twp., passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010. She was born on February 17, 1922 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Dewey and Elsie Ekin.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Jayne Erickson of Naples, Florida and Cathy (Tom) Jones of Annapolis, Maryland; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, George and Stewart Ekin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John R. “Jack” Manning in 1999; son, Thomas Russell Manning in 1967; and three sisters. Helen was dearly loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 23 at 12:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd, Valparaiso.

Burial of ashes will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Memorial visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
