Donnie Lee Stringer of Palmetto, Fla., formerly of Valparaiso and
Chesterton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 in Florida. He was 57.
He was born January 1, 1953 in Gary, the son of Donnie Lee Stringer and
Donna Lee Hamm. Donnie retired from Midwest Steel and loved to fish, play
pool and drink Miller Lite.
He is survived by his mother; his girlfriend of 18 years, Geniva Walker;
daughter Trisha Stringer of West Virginia; two step-children and seven
step-grandchildren; sisters Susan Sledge of Gary, Cindy Mills (husband Al)
of Alabama and Victoria Morales (Sam); half brothers Kenny Stringer of Gary,
Joseph Hamm and Billy Hamm of Illinois; aunt Juanita Sheets of Valparaiso;
and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his biological father Don Stringer, stepfather
Joseph Hamm, brother Fred Hamm and uncle Richard Sheets.
