Former Chesterton resident Dallas Hailey of Schererville passed away on
Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Munster Med-Inn in Munster. He was 58.
Dallas was born on January 1, 1952 in Nashville, Tenn. Dallas worked for
many years at Costas and Wiseway grocery stores. He loved to sing even while
he worked, and many people will remember him singing as he helped them with
their groceries. He was a kind, caring, and lovable person.
He is survived by his fiancé Sandy Noel of Schererville; her mother “Jean”
and her brother Randy; two brothers; and three sisters.
Dallas was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L. Greiger, and his wife,
Diana Hailey.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 28 at 6 p.m. at the Edmonds &
Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. A visitation will be on Friday
from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Cremation will be in Heritage
Crematory, Portage. Memorials may be made to the family.
