Bernard J. Stento, Sr. passed away on August 16, 2010. He was 83.
He was born in Binghamton, New York, the son of the late James and Geneveive
Stento.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Joyce Boulous; children
Bernie Stento (wife Kim) of Liberty Township, Paul Stento (Judi) of Delmar,
N.Y., and Damian (Marchelle) of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren Joe, Jamie,
Luke, Emily, Lindsey, Matthew, MacCallan and Kyler; brother James Stento
(Judy) of Vestal, N.Y.; sister Rosalie of Binghamton, N.Y.; sisters-in-law
Marcy Mansour and Renee Behlog of Binghamton, N.Y., and Yvonne Yameen of
Massachusettes; and many nieces and nephews.
Bernie will be remembered for his love and commitment to his family and his
faith in God. Along with his wife, he was a member of St. James Church in
Johnson City, N.Y. The family would like to thank God for all the wonderful
people who have crossed paths with him during his life, especially the
Hospice Unit of Lourdes Hospital for their immediate and undivided attention
to their patients.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 19 at J.A. McCormack
and Sons Funeral Home in Binghamton. The funeral will be held at St. James
Catholic Church in Johnson City on Friday, August 20 at 9:30 a.m. For more
