Former Chesterton resident Alice M. Bushore of Evans, La., passed away
Monday, July 12, 2010. She was 90.
She was born January 29, 1920 in Chicago to Frank and Mary (Wojtowiac)
Kamaski, who preceded her in death. On April 28, 1938 she married Joseph T.
Bushore, who preceded her in death in 1986.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (husband Wade) Malone of Evans, La.;
sister Dorothy Clem of Chesterton; seven grandchildren; and 11 great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Frank, Edward, Joe and Louis
Kamaski; and sisters, Laura Pawloski and Estelle Baran.
Alice was a lifelong area resident until 2000, when she moved to Louisiana.
She was a beautician for more than 55 years and was the owner of State Park
Beauty Salon. Later she worked from her home as well as helping her husband
on their farm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 16 at 10 a.m. at St.
Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Road, Chesterton, with Father James
Meade officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery,
Chesterton. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15 from 3 to 7 p.m. at
the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, with a wake
