Victor Stanzione, age 94, of Chesterton, Indiana passed away Wednesday,
March 18, 2009.
Victor was born December 20, 1914 in Chicago the son of Frank and Rose (Bertucci)
Stanzione.
On June 10, 1939 in Gary, he married Victoria Marie Notaro, who preceded him
in death.
He is survived by his children, Paul (Jamie) Stanzione of Decatur, Ill.,
Frances (Stan) Fickle of Indianapolis, and Mary Ann Goszewski of Chesterton;
brothers, Frank (June) Stanzione and Rocco Stanzione; 17 grandchildren and
14 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rosalie Roop; a brother, Carmen
Stanzione and sisters, Rose Clodig, Jenny Nelson, Nancy Mikesell and Theresa
Steinhubel.
Victor worked as a carpenter for Star Construction and was a member of the
carpenter’s union for over 65 years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Edmonds
& Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at
1 p.m. Interment will be in Chesterton Cemetery.
Memorials in Victor’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
