Tammy Blue Stoddard, of Chesterton, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2009 at Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus. She was 49.

She was born April 2, 1960 in Michigan City, the daughter of Dale Johnson of North Judson and Peggy Smith Johnson, deceased.

On February 14, 1979 she married Scooter Stoddard, who survives.

She is also survived by a son, Tyler Stoddard, serving in the U.S. Navy stationed in Pensicola, Fla.; two sisters, Betty Brock Walker (Alan), of Portage and Scarlet Somers of Valparaiso; a brother, Erik Johnson (Melissa), of South Haven; a nephew, Christopher and nieces, Leighanna and Zoe.

Tammy was employed by Medical Connections in Valparaiso as a computer data operator. Her hobbies were shopping resale and antique stores, gardening, traveling, reading and being a homemaker.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the shelters in the parking area near Chellberg Farm. Friends and family will be notified.
