Linda K. Minton-Ivlow, the mother of a Chesterton resident, died Monday,
Dec. 7, 2009, at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Michigan City. A resident
of Michigan City, she was 67.
She was born Sept. 23, 1942, in Paducah, Ky., the daughter of Lymann and
Betty (Hines) Minton, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by three children, Erik (Jamie) Kruper Sr. of Chesterton,
Trina Minton-Schoof of Michigan City, and John (Crystal) Kruper of Portage;
nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley (Juana)
Minton of Dallas, Texas, and Robert (Tammy) Minton of Arizona; a sister,
Dana Minton of Dayton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy G. Minton; and her sister,
Carol Minton.
Linda was a food server at the Big Wheel Restaurant in Miller for 20 years,
a faithful donor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and a loving mother and
grandmother.
A memorial service, Father James Meade officiating, is scheduled for 12 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 12, at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. Second St. in
Chesterton.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of
service at White-Love.
