Ralph Richard Pinkston dies at 67

Ralph Richard Pinkston, 67, of Porter, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009 at VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso.

He was born August 14, 1941 in Hammond.

He is survived by his wife Judith Ann Pinkston (Radosa) of Porter, three children, Stephen Eugene Pinkston, of South Bend, Carolyn Ann (Robert) Vendramin, of New Carlisle, Nicholas Ryan Pinkston, of San Diego, Calif.; a grandson, Ethan Robert Vendramin, three sisters, Pat (Rich) Little, of Delaware, Judith (Rich) Companik, of St. John, Elaine Dippolito, of Fla.; many nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father Wilbur Eugene Pinkston, mother, Lucille Emma Gilman Pinkston and his step-father, Andrew Kertis.

Ralph was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Chesterton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines from 1959-1962. He retired as a millwright at U.S. Steel and also worked for NIPSCO and Republic Steel Co.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service.

The family prefers expressions of sympathy be made in memory of Ralph R. Pinkston to the VNA Hospice Center, 501 Marquette St. Valparaiso, IN 46383.
