Monroe H. Clark, 84, of Chesterton, passed away Sunday,
December 28, 2008 at St. Anthony Memorial Health Care, Michigan City.
He was born July 25, 1924 in Hytop, Ala. the son of Wheeler
and Topsy Clark, both of whom preceded him in death.
On Nov. 14, 1948 in Blue Island, Ill., he married Lorraine
Wagner, who preceded him in death on Nov. 22, 1997.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherry (Philip) Guarino of
Rockford, Ill.; sons, Michael Clark of Homewood, Ill. and Todd Clark, of
Stock Island, Fla.; grandchildren, Rachael Lee, Dr. Alicia (Tony) Guarino,
Bianca Clark, Adam Guarino and Monique Clark; brothers, Raymond Clark of
Decatur, Ala. and Virgil Clark of Stone Mountain, Ga. and a sister, Edith
McLemore of Huntsville, Ala.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Stephen A. Clark
and Jeffrey M. Clark, a sister and 5 brothers.
Mr. Clark had been a crane operator with Interlake Steel for
44 years until his retirement. He was a member of United Steel Workers in
Riverdale, Ill.
Services, Rev. Ken Roh officiating, were Sunday, Jan. 4 at
the Korean United Methodist Church, Flossmoor, Ill.
