Mary S. Shaw, 93, Porter, formerly of Logansport, died at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, in Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso.

She was born March 20, 1916, in Cass County, the daughter of Arthur E. and Harriet English Troutman.

On April 7, 1940, in Logansport she married Charles L. Shaw, who preceded in death May 3, 1986.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol L. (Bradley) Baer, of Porter; daughter-in-law, Joan Shaw, of Logansport; a brother, Harold (Clara) Troutman, of Logansport; a sister, Grace M. Jordan, of Logansport; three grandchildren, Michael L. Shaw, David L. Shaw and Lisa M. Stroud; three step grandchildren, Terri Cox, Michael Rorison and Jessica Conlon; several great-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one son, Donald L. Shaw, and one brother, George E. Troutman.

She was a homemaker and a member of Spring Creek Christian Church.

Services, Rev. Douglas J. Upton officiating will be at 10:30 a.m. EST, Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home, 1603 Broadway, Logansport. Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, Logansport.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. EST, Friday at the funeral home.
