Marilyn B, Hyatte, age 82, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2009, at her home
in Valparaiso.
She was born in Valparaiso, January 20, 1927, to the late William F., Jr.
and Helen M. (nee Swartz) Brown.
O January 17, 1947, she married Vernon G. Hyatte, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by sons Vernon Hyatte, of Chesterton and Bruce (Lois) Hyatte
of Greenwood; grandchildren Crystal Owen, Angela (Jay P.) Schabloski, Craig
Hyatte, James Hyatte and twins Ben and Jacob Hyatte; brother Wally (Marlene)
Brown; sisters Eva (Keith Larson and Florence (Richard) Brown.
She was also preceded in death by brothers Alvin Brown, Bill Brown and
Charles Brown.
She was a lifelong resident of Valparaiso, a member of the First Christian
Church and life-time member and past president of the Women’s Auxiliary of
the American Legion Post #94.
Private family services were held Friday, June 5, 2009. Interment was in
Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association and the First
Christian Church.
Arrangements were handled by Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 N. Campbell St.,
Valparaiso, 462-3125.
