Marguerite Schneckenburgerdies at 83

Marguerite Schneckenburger, age 83, of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 in Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus.

Marguerite was born January 3, 1926 in Chicago, the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Neuhase) Brunder, both of whom preceded her in death.

Marguerite is survived by sons, Mark and Scott Schneckenburger, both of Chesterton; daughters, Nancy (Tim) McGinty of Chesterton, Cheryl Schneckenburger of Chesterton, Gwen (Scott) Wynder of Chesterton, Amy Wilson of Tucson, Ariz., Beth Schneck (Scott Yoder) of Freehold, N.Y. Also surviving is a brother, Ronald (Thelma) Brunder of Deer River, Minn.; and grandchildren, Jesse and Jeff Wynder, Colleen and Clint McGinty, Sarah and Katie Schneckenburger, and Travis Vaughn.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Brunder.

Marguerite was a graduate of Chesterton High School. She retired in 1991 as a teacher’s aide from Bailey School in Chesterton. After her retirement she was the secretary to the Clerk/Treasurer for the town of Porter and volunteered for the Save the Dunes Shop. She also sold real-estate at one time.

Funeral services will be private. Donations may be made to Home Away From Home, 2507 Tea Rose, Valparaiso, IN 46383. Arrangements by Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN.
