Malcolm W. Dominy, 69, of South Whitehall Twp., Pa., died
Tuesday, February 17, 2009 in his home.
He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., the son of Harry and Hazel
(Stafford) Dominy.
He and his wife, Beverly Brown, who survives, celebrated 45
years of marriage last October.
Survivors also include sons, Michael (Xiomara), Kenneth
(Larissa); grandchildren, Calista and Christa and William and brothers
Gerald, Russell, Raymond and Harold.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynda Ann and a
brother, Ronald.
Malcom and his family lived in the Chesterton area from
1965-1981 and were very active in the community. He earned a bachelor’s
degree in electrical engineering from Union College and an MBA from Purdue
University. He completed 39 years of service at Bethlehem Steel Company,
working at the Lackawanna, Burns Harbor and the Bethlehem Plants. He retired
in 2001 as site manager of the Bethlehem Plant.
Mal was a life member of the American Iron & Steel Engineers,
also serving on the board. He was president of the Chesterton Indiana Lions
Club and a Duneland School Board member. He served on the Lehigh Valley
United Way Board. An avid bridge player, he was an ACBL Life Master. He was a
member of Saucon Valley Country Club and a Life Member of the Lehigh County
Senior Citizen’s Center.
Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 21 from 1-2 p.m. followed by
a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at Bachman, Kulik and Reinsmith Funeral Home,
1629 Hamilton St., Allentown, Pa.
