James S. Lillywhite, 91, of San Clemente, Calif., formerly of Chesterton,
passed away, Monday, April 6, 2009.
He was born November 20, 1917 in Chicago, the son of Ernest and Mabel Ellen
Lillywhite, and moved with his family to Chesterton in 1920.
His wife preceded him in death.
He is survived, in California, by his daughters, Carolyn Lillywhite Gee,
Patricia Ellen Lillywhite, and Mary Ann Lillywhite Dumbeck as well as four
grandchildren. Also surviving in Chesterton is his sister, Mabel Lillywhite
Carlson; nephew, Wendell Carlson and niece, Marge Swisher.
Mr. Lillywhite was a 1935 graduate of Chesterton High School. He was a WWII
Veteran serving with distinction in the U.S. Army as a Technical Sergeant.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Our Lady of
Fatima Catholic Church in San Clemente, Calif.
