Howard L. Neuschafer, 80 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009 at his home.

He was born March 8, 1929 in Sturgis, Mich. the son of Arthur and Minnie (Miller) Neuschafer.

On December 5, 1949 he married Kathryn Wiltfong who preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters Yvonne (Steve) Stoner of St. Paul, Minn. and Darlene (Steve) Keator of Chesterton; a son Charles (Connie) Neuschafer of Valparaiso; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a sister, June (Harlow) Hanselman of Kouts.

Howard was a US Army Veteran and was a track supervisor with Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Funeral Services, Rev. Brenda Ludwig officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 20 at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
